Rebranding to Transform a Construction Company’s Image

Finding the Brand’s Identity Through Internal and External Interviews

Shinya Construction, a civil engineering and construction company based in Asahikawa, has built a strong reputation in the region through its proven technical expertise, with a wide range of projects including public facilities, airports, and roadside stations. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, the company expressed a desire to evolve and explore a new direction, leading to a request for a rebranding project. Through interviews with internal and external stakeholders, key words that emerged were “serious” and “dedicated.” Using these as a foundation, we engaged in discussions to define what truly represents the essence of Shinya Construction—its unique identity.

Using a ‘Dedicated’ Approach as the Core of Branding

The “Shinya identity” passed down since the company’s founding is a wholehearted dedication to work—serious and meticulous. The convenience of the facilities and environments the company develops exists for the people who live in the community, and it is the company’s own people who create that convenience through their efforts. Based on this corporate attitude of valuing people and approaching work earnestly, the slogan “Always, Anew, Wholeheartedly.” was created. At the same time, while retaining the diamond shape of the logo used until now, a more modernized version was developed and established as the core of the company’s branding.

Expressing the Work That Supports the Community Through Creativity

Based on the finalized brand concept, corporate tools such as business cards and helmets were designed with a unified visual tone. In addition, on-site photography was conducted, and both the company brochure and website were completely revamped. On the web, new pages were created to communicate the company’s philosophy, and scroll-linked animations were used to visually showcase the company’s broad involvement in construction projects throughout the Asahikawa region.
